Building The Lyle Hess Cutter

Some progress! Two apprentices, Cedar and Brett, and myself have begun building this handsome 32 footer. Frames are up. Some bracing, some tweaking, some fairing with planking soon to follow. The frames are double sawn laminated balau attached to bronze floors with 3/8" bronze bolts. The planking will be yellow cedar. More photos and news as we go.
